When I found out our new baby was a girl, I came home and told my 5 boys. These were their responses:

From Steven our 12 year old: "Yay!!!!That means Katie doesn't get her own room!"
From Brandon our 9 year old: "Now Katie has someone to play girl things with."
Nathan our 7 year old took it in stride. It was just information.
Marshall our three year old is having a love/hate relationship with the baby right now. His response was, "No I don't like the baby!"
Now Andrew our 5 year olds response was unforgettable. His response was: "Not a girl! I want a boy! A girl...SHE'LL MESS ME UP!!!!!!" I asked him how a new sister would "mess him up" Katie didn't. He said, "But she will. I will just have to have Nathan to keep her out and way from me and my stuff! Nathan will keep me safe."
