Happy Birthday, Steven!
Today is my oldest son's 12th birthday. I can hardly believe that it has been 12 years since he was born. I remember that day well. So here are 12 things to know about my son.
1. He is named after 3 seperate people. My Daddy, a friend, and the dad of Kim @ Life in a Shoe
2. He was born 24 days late.
3. He is very much like his Daddy and his Grandpa (my Daddy)
4. He is interested in books, space, history, science, Nascar racing, airplanes.
5. He is one of three of my children that lived in a state other than Texas.
6. He is the only one of my children to wear glasses.
7. His favorite color is red.
8. He was rather shy until our #2 son came along.
9. He thought that the heartbeat of our #4 son on the doppler sounded like an alien.
10. He adores his sister even though he was not happy when we found out she was a girl.
11. He is one of my biggest helpers.
12. He thinks the new baby should be a girl so that Katie doesn't have her own room.
Steven, I love you very much! You are the best Steven I ever had! Happy Birthday!

Yikes...twelve! Just think one day our sons will be big, strapping men. I look forward to that and mourn it all at the same time.
How are you feeling? Will you find out what you are having or do you like to be surprised?
Yes, twelve! How old is your oldest? I see it all the time how soon they will be big strapping men. I completely agree with you as to how I look to that time.
I am feeling pretty good will be glad to get rid of the mountain cedar that is giving my allergies a horrible time.
We did find out with the first three but have with the last three and will with this one. It has been so much easier on our littlest ones to know a name and to know that this is who is coming so that when the baby arrives they already know who they are. Or at least that is the way that it seems to have been.
I had to laugh and tear up at the same time when I read "you are the Best (name) I ever had" My mom always told us "You are my most favorite (name) in the whole world" I tell my kids the same things. It's nice to know we're not the only nuts in the tree :)
Congrats on #6
