When it Rains....
Yesterday was one of those days in which you wonder if there was any way to skip it. It started with the power going out around 5pm until after 9pm. Our suburban overheated and had to go to the mechanic today and 2yo Marshall fell and bit his tongue bad enough to need stiches. I took him to the children's ER last night when hubby got home from work. Although I was on the verge of tears last night as they worked on putting stiches in his tongue while he was screaming and crying and being held down my two nurses while the doctor worked, thinking back on the scene must have been quite a sight. Take the crying screaming 2yo out of the picture and here are two nurses and a doctor all telling this 2yo to "stick out your tongue ahhh" and then sticking out there tongues at him. Marshall received a popsicle as soon as he was done and soon was over the trauma. In fact he was ready for another one when he finished the first, but we were ready to leave. He is thoroughly enjoying the day and I am sure tomorrow too as he is on a liquid/soft diet, popsicles, pudding, yogurt, banana-strawberry-peach smoothies, etc. He is loving this and proudly shows off his tongue, most of the time, when asked.
